Mardi Gla 2023
On July 15th we marched with thousands of others for Mardi Gla, Glasgow’s Pride. The march, which organisers estimate was attended by a record-breaking 50,000 people this year, began at Glasgow Green and traveled through the city centre streets to finish at George Square. Our team, board members, friends, family, and supporters came together to stand against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia.

Before heading to the march, our friends at Burness Paull hosted a pre Pride warm up brunch on our behalf. Burness Paull have been long time supporters of ours and we were grateful for the opportunity to bring both of our teams together, along with some of our supporters.
This was the first time that we had an organised bloc for Pride. Those marching with us included supporters from Burness Paull, Amy Callaghan MP, Monica Lennon MSP, and footballer Zander Murray. We were delighted to be joined by so many people to be a part of Glasgow’s biggest ever Pride. Thank you to everyone who marched with us on the day.

This was our first organised bloc for Mardi Gla and we are very grateful to everyone who marched with us - including MSPs, friends and family, teachers, and colleagues from across sectors.
We extend a special thank you to the staff and partners at Burness Paull LLP for hosting a pre-march brunch for us and providing a welcoming space for friends of our charity; and to Alice Mary Photography for the incredible photographs taken throughout the day.
This year’s Mardi Gla was significant and historic because it was Glasgow’s largest-ever Pride parade - with more than 50,000 people in attendance - and we were privileged to be a part of this. In this cultural moment, where transgender young people find themselves subject to a moral panic, and homophobia remains one of the most common forms of prejudice in our schools - it was important to us that we stood together and marched for a society free from discrimination.”
