Workplace Learning

Workplace Learning

Our workplace learning enables organisations to benefit from the proactive, educational approach we use to address prejudice within Scotland’s schools. Sessions can also provide parents and carers with key information about LGBT Inclusive Education in Scotland.

A very insightful, significantly important viewpoint from both speakers.

Workplace Learning Input

Our workplace learning sessions provide an overview of prejudice, how it can manifest and escalate, and its impact on individuals in the workplace and wider society. This is explored through the lens of homophobia, incorporating engaging storytelling and diverse first-hand perspectives.

64.5% of employees have heard prejudicial language about LGBT people at work (2022/23)

The sessions are designed to strengthen understanding of the consequences of prejudice and derogatory language. At a time of increasing polarisation, this learning supports respectful workplace cultures. Our evaluations show that 100% of participants report an increased understanding of what prejudice is, how it manifests, and how it can escalate.

Where possible, we use interactive digital technology during each session to gather anonymised qualitative and quantitative feedback from participants, which is then shared with your organisation. This enables organisations to evidence the impact of the sessions and identify further opportunities for learning and development within the workplace.

We can also deliver bespoke sessions for parents and carers with children in Scotland’s schools. These sessions provide an overview of the national approach to LGBT Inclusive Education, alongside opportunities to ask questions, explore resources, and engage in discussion. Please let us know in your initial enquiry if you are interested in including a parent and carer engagement session.

It has been the most impactful training we have delivered to support us creating an LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace. People still speak about the original training 3 years ago and remember the key points of the training telling us it was the best training they have had and how they have changed how they speak to friends and understand the impact of what they thought was banter.
